Music Warms the Soul

This was born from a night of sipping wine by the fire. I was idly sketching the fireplace area, constantly having the impression that the noises made by the fire, had in fact form and substance. I tried to focus on the "music" and this is the result. A full blown oil painting on the feeling of that night.
Fire may warm your body, but it's music that warms the soul.
